Kingdom of Morocco

Explore the mystical Kingdom of Morocco (the Arabic name—Al Mamlakah al Maghribiyah—means  “The Western Kingdom”).

Morocco is situated on the North-West coast of Africa, with ports in the Atlantic and Mediterranean seas. This third most populous Arab country is divided into 16 regions. Rabat is the capital and the largest city is Casablanca.

Morocco was a French protectorate from 1912 to 1956. The Alaouite Dynasty is the current Royal family. King Mohammed VI is a well educated ruler who has introduced many social reforms and brought about liberalisation in Morocco.

Morocco is rich in natural beauty and fascinating places to visit. It has a wealth of history, culture, arts and science to be explored.
